Behind the designs

Meet

In Rainbows

I started In rainbows because I want YOU to surround yourselves and homes with COLOUR. I’m obsessed with bright colours, repeat patterns and houseplants so my homeware and stationery products have all been inspired by these.  I design beautiful mugs, cushions, tea towels, note books and planners.  To me it’s all about the little, colourful things that can brighten your day.

I make and design all of my homeware and stationery items in my home studio in Barry.

As a small biz myself I’m all for shopping locally with independent, local shops like Annie & Lolo so to have my own products stocked in this gorgeous shop in my home town feels amazing!!

MEET

Fizz Goes Pop

My name is Lizzie and i am the founder and designer maker of Fizz Goes Pop, an independent Welsh brand focussing on hand made laser cut acrylic jewellery and homeware. I established my brand in 2017 after a long time wishing i could make things but not having the confidence to go ahead and make them. Turns out lots of us feel the same, and instead of dwelling on the fear i stepped into the unknown and it is pretty bloody magical. I LOVE Annie and Lolo, and feel very honoured to be stocked with them in their store in Barry, i always know that they will do all they can to shout out for all the small brands they stock, and being part of that line up it very special. They make the smalls feel big, and trusted in me when i'm not sure i trusted myself!! I can't wait to visit again and see who is new in the shop, and who i can go and follow to support who i didn't know existed before they did some top notch promo :)

MEET

Doodlemoo

Emily Canino is a graphic designer & illustrator with an MA from Central St Martins and founder of Award Winning brand Doodlemoo. Designing and creating is my biggest passion, especially bringing ideas to life in the form of Art Prints, homewares, stationery and jewellery. I love art, colour, music and graphics, so I try to bring all of these elements together into my brand. My passion for colour comes from growing up in sunny Venezuela where people are loud, the sky is always blue and the food markets are bursting with intense colour. I love to bring playfulness into my designs and doing so by combining illustration with typography. I believe creativity can save the world and that surrounding yourself with colour and lovely design can influence your mood and help hugely with your wellbeing.

MEET

Ivy and Ginger

Based in my home studio in Staffordshire I create sustainable, unique and vibrant jewellery. I create a mixture of predominantly hand painted items, with some products produced from my artwork and then digitally printed. I have a big love for colour and pattern and you can always find this reflected in my work.I absolutely love being stocked in independent shops, such as the amazing Annie & Lolo in Barry, because they offer substantial support and encouragement to other indies as well as to their local community. Independent shops are the glitter of the high street and contribute so much joy and happiness to our local daily lives.

MEET

Ynys Aroma

Ynys Aroma is my small, hand-made business in Barry, South-Wales. The inspiration to create products came from my passion to maintain health with a holistic and natural approach, using the power of aromatherapy to improve health and well-being.

Each product is created with a unique recipe of essential oils, which includes lots of blending, sniffing, and journaling how it 'feels', and adjusting some more, and... you get the picture.

It's a labour of love to create these blends, and I truly love it.
